R&D Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Core Responsibilities

• End-to-End Product Evolution: Drive the design and enhancement of hardware solutions, specifically focusing on thermal management, advanced packaging, and wafer-level testing systems.

• Strategic Innovation Management: Oversee the lifecycle of innovation from initial ideation to full commercialization. Implement structured review cadences to ensure technical progress is traceable and aligned with business goals.

• Market Intelligence & Growth: Analyze global semiconductor roadmaps and market trends to identify white space opportunities. You will build robust business cases, ensuring all new projects are financially sound and technically viable.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the technical bridge between product marketing, internal engineering teams, and external global stakeholders to ensure successful market entry for new technologies.

• Operational Excellence: Contribute to departmental budgeting and strategic planning to ensure long-term business sustainability and operational efficiency.

Required Expertise & Qualifications

• Educational Background: A degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related Material Science discipline.

• Industry Tenure: Minimum of 2+ years within the semiconductor ecosystem, with a deep focus on manufacturing processes and test equipment.

• Experience in thermal systems, advanced packaging, and final test tooling.

  • Strong grasp of mechanical and electronic design principles for equipment interfacing.

  • Profound understanding of how the shift toward advanced packaging drives the need for disruptive testing equipment.

• Innovation Pedigree: A proven track record of bringing new products to market. Direct experience in Intellectual Property (IP) creation or patent filings is highly desirable.

• Flexibility for international travel as dictated by project needs.
