Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

Reviewing construction plans and preparing Bills of Quantities for Pre-Tender quotation preparation.

Familiar with Construction methodology, particularly in Landed Construction in Singapore to prepare for comprehensive Bills of Quantities line items

To be conversant and familiar with source, solicit and retrieve latest market pricing and rates for the various scope.

To be competent and efficient to develop interior fit out residential (home renovation) quotation.

To be able to track, manage and present efficient Variation order (VO) tabulation in timely and concise manner.

To collate final billing and closing accounts effectively and accurately.

To be able to communicate and liaise confidently with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.

Preparation of Compliance, monitoring reports, eg Noise report, Progress report, Health & Safety monitoring, Work Commencement Reports, Risk assessment, Permit-to-Work requirements and other Compliance documents.

Support and co-lead in Annual ISO 3-in-1 full suite renewal exercise

Establish a library of standard materials, formula, ratios for procurement of materials.

Traveling from the office to various sites as required.

Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

Degree / Diploma in Building or its equivalent

4 years and above experience as QS in main-con companies

High proficiency in deriving construction works, interior fitting out (eg Wetworks PSF, Carpentry Per foot run rate etc), and development costs for landed properties in Singapore

Familiarity with Singapores code of practice and legislation for building works, if not eagerness to excel and master them

Proven ability in Contract administration, Variation orders and Final Accounts closing

Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines.

Landed construction methodology costs estimating is a must.

Resourceful with Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Sound knowledge of construction.

Excellent organizational, planning and interpersonal skills.

Great networking abilities.
