Overall Job Objectives
Assist Tender manager with project tender and to assist Project manager to establish the quantity, unit rate, cost. Manage the procurement, evaluation, claim, payment process and prepare the necessary data for cost reporting.
Core Responsibilities
1. Participate in the tendering process from start to finish, including selecting bidders, preparing tender documents, submitting tenders, and awarding contracts.
2. Take-off quantities and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) along with drawings and specifications for soliciting quotations.
3. Source subcontractors and suppliers, measure quantities, and estimate costs for both pre-contract and post-contract phases.
4. Negotiate, administer, and monitor pre and post tender/contract activities.
5. Price and forecast the costs of various materials needed for the project.
6. Follow up on the preparation of invoices, purchase orders, work orders, subcontract agreements, and letters of award to subcontractors and suppliers.
7. Monitor and assess work progress, evaluate subcontractor payment claims, and manage variation order claims before certification.
8. Ensure timely follow-up on monthly progress claims.
9. Attend site, client, and consultant meetings as required.
10. Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
1. Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent from a recognized University.
2. Able to read/understand/execute work based on construction drawings
3. Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
4. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
