Review structural steel & metal works drawings, specifications, and designs to determine materials, steel grades, connections, and fabrication methods for accurate project analysis
Measure steel sections, plates, bolts, and fittings including wastage allowances to perform precise quantity take-offs
Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and project budgets covering fabrication, transport, erection, labor, and overheads
Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes, negotiate rates, manage contract variations, and ensure compliance with project scope during tendering and contract management
Track actual costs against estimates, manage progress claims, approve payments, and identify opportunities for cost savings to control project expenses
Collaborate with QA/QC teams to verify materials and fabrication meet specifications, incorporating rework or non-conformance costs into budgets
Identify financial, material, and schedule risks and recommend mitigation strategies to manage project changes effectively
Maintain accurate records and prepare cost reports, forecasts, and final accounts to support management decision-making
