About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to support our growing portfolio of civil and infrastructure projects. This is a site-based role where you will play a key role in managing project costs, contracts, and commercial performance from execution through final account.
You will work closely with engineering, site, and commercial teams to ensure cost efficiency, contractual compliance, and successful project delivery in line with our data-driven and sustainable engineering approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial and contract administration matters for civil and infrastructure works, including maintenance, renewal, and upgrade projects
- Prepare, submit, and evaluate progress claims, payment certifications, and final accounts for clients and subcontractors
- Carry out quantity take-offs, measurement, and cost estimation for civil works, variations, and renewal scopes
- Call for quotations, evaluate subcontractor submissions, and assist in awarding civil work packages
- Administer subcontractor accounts, variations, and claims in accordance with contract conditions and SOPs
- Monitor project budgets and costs, and liaise with HQ Commercial Department on monthly cost reporting
- Prepare cost tabulations, valuations, and supporting commercial documentation as required
- Attend site, commercial, and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Guide and support junior quantity surveyors and follow up on subcontract-related matters
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with contractual requirements, safety standards, and internal procedures
Requirements
- Diploma or higher qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Candidates with strong experience will be considered for Senior Quantity Surveyor position
- Good knowledge of contract law, contract administration, and standard forms of civil contracts
- Practical experience in:
- Contract drafting and review
- Contract procurement and tender evaluation
- Contract administration and claims management
- Strong analytical, cost-control, and negotiation skills
- Meticulous, cost-conscious, and commercially aware
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, site-based environment
