The Quantity Surveyor manages all cost and contractual aspects ofsecurity systems projects, ensuring financial control, profitability, andcompliance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates and tender submissions for security systems projects
- Analyze project costs including equipment (cameras, servers, storage, cabling, fibre)
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations specific to security and ELV systems
- Manage progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts
- Track project expenditure and ensure cost efficiency
- Support procurement of security systems and related infrastructure
- Administer contracts in accordance with industry standards
- Provide cost advice to project teams and management
- Maintain proper documentation for claims and financial reporting
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 3-8 years of experience in security systems / ELV / ICT project cost management
- Strong knowledge of contracts (FIDIC, SIA, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with CCTV, VMS, access control costing and BOQ preparation
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
