Quantity Surveyor

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost planning
• Evaluate contractor quotations and recommend award of contracts
• Monitor project costs and ensure budgets are maintained
• Handle progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts
• Conduct site measurements and valuations
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions
• Prepare cost reports and provide financial advice throughout the project lifecycle

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costing
• Familiar with contract administration and tendering procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QS software (e.g. CostX, Cubicost, etc.)
• Good analytical and negotiation skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
