Job Summary

Join QXY RESOURCES PTE LTD as a Quantity Surveyor to manage contract negotiation, administration, and project cost control in a key strategic role within a dynamic and growing construction team.

Responsibilities

  • Administer tender processes by sourcing, preparing, and submitting all required documentation to participate effectively in tender exercises
  • Prepare detailed bills of quantities through accurate quantity take-offs and materials sourcing to support project budgeting
  • Obtain, compile, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations according to tender requirements, ensuring timely submission
  • Negotiate subcontractor and supplier terms and fees to meet project requirements and schedules
  • Prepare and issue Letters of Award and work orders to subcontractors and suppliers
  • Manage contract administration to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project timelines
  • Prepare interim progress claims, Variation Orders, and final accounts for clients to ensure accurate billing and payment
  • Certify interim progress claims and final accounts for payment to subcontractors, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with project teams to support project delivery and resolve issues
  • Work independently under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma in Quantity Surveying or construction-related discipline
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a Quantity Surveyor role

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Strong written communication skills in English to prepare clear and professional documentation
  • Good contractual knowledge and administration skills to manage contracts effectively
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ability to multitask and organize work efficiently to handle multiple projects simultaneously
