Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Singapore. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects, from pre-contract to post-contract stages. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of cost control, tendering, and contract administration within the Singapore construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

. Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BQ) for construction projects.

. Conduct quantity take-offs, tender analysis, and pricing for tenders and proposals.

. Handle pre- and post-contract administration, including preparation of interim valuations, variation orders, and final accounts.

. Evaluate and manage subcontractor quotations, cost comparisons, and procurement strategies.

. Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective cost and contract management.

. Monitor project expendituresand ensure adherence to budget and timeline.

. Assist in dispute resolution, claims preparation, and contractual correspondence.

. Ensure compliance with local building regulations, codes, and standard forms of contract (e.g., SIA, PSSCOC, REDAS).

. Prepare progress reportsand maintain accurate documentation of all QS-related activities.

Requirements

. Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.

. Minimum 1-3 yearsof working experience in quantity surveying or cost management (construction or consultancy background preferred).

. Fresh graduates with relevant internships are welcome to apply (for junior QS roles).

. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, or similar).

. Strong understanding of local construction practices, regulations, and standard contract forms.

. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

. Experience with public sector projects in Singapore.

. Familiarity with BIM and digital quantity take-off tools.

. Member of SISV or working towards MRICS accreditation.
