About the role
We are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Benoi Region. This full-time position is crucial in overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of construction infrastructure projects, ensuring their successful delivery. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing costs, negotiating contracts, and providing strategic insights to support the company's growth and project objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and analyzing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Negotiating and managing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
- Measuring and valuing work completed, and processing payment applications
- Identifying and mitigating project risks, and implementing cost control measures
- Providing regular progress reports and financial updates to project managers and clients
- Collaborating with the construction team to optimize cost and efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the successful delivery of construction projects
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including bill of quantities (BQ), specifications, and contract conditions.
What we're looking for
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation techniques
- Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and MS Office applications
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and the broader project team
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards
Working Location: Benoi area
Working Hours: 8am to 4.30pm (Mon to Fri)
