Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact through precise budgeting and effective collaboration with diverse project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP projects by analyzing specifications and drawings. Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labor needed for MEP installations, ensuring accuracy in assessments. Develop, manage, and control project budgets throughout the project lifecycle, monitoring cost variations and suggesting cost-saving measures. Assist in preparing tender documents and participate in the procurement process while evaluating bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Administer contracts related to MEP works, managing variations or claims and ensuring compliance throughout the project. Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards. Assess potential risks linked to cost and contract issues, developing strategies to mitigate them for project success. Generate regular cost reports to provide stakeholders with updates on the project's financial status and offer analytical recommendations. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to contribute to project success. Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards in MEP construction and stay updated on industry best practices. Conduct cost analyses for repair and maintenance projects and perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution. At least 5 years of relevant experience in industrial, commercial, or data-centre projects. Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems. Attention to detail along with robust organizational skills adaptable and flexible in approach. Excellent communication and facilitation abilities. Proven ability to work effectively in both team settings and independently, demonstrating initiative and commitment.
