Job Decriptions:
. Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects.
. Conduct frequent site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with specifications and budget.
. Perform cost analysis and provide recommendations to optimize project expenditure.
. Manage procurement processes, including quotations, contracts, supplier selection, and maintaining good relationships.
. Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve cost-related issues.
. Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, and claims.
. Responsible for quantity take-off, cost estimation, tender pricing, and submission.
. Analyse tender outcomes, prepare detailed reports, and discuss with Contract Manager.
. Measure and determine work progress to prepare periodic progress payment requests.
. Prepare and follow up monthly progress claims in a timely manner.
. Assist Contract Manager with construction contracts, contractual issues, and claims including extension of time and loss & expense.
. Ensure compliance with regulations such as Security of Payment Act and company/ISO standards.
. Arrange and attend meetings, travel to sites, and follow up on project progress.
. Provide cost escalation alerts and communicate between internal departments and external parties.
. Undertake other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
. Minimum 8 years of experience in construction or building projects.
. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
. Willingness to work primarily on construction sites and in physically demanding conditions.
. Able to handle on-call duties, including emergency calls and weekend work.
. Willingness to work overtime during critical periodsas and when required.
. Strong analytical, mathematical, negotiation, and communication skills.
. Able to work independently and complete tasks under pressure.
. Proficient in MS Office familiarity with QS software, AutoCAD, and Revit is a plus.
. Result-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
. Willing to travel to sites and attend meetings as required.
. 6 working days per week.
