Responsibilities:
- Cost Management:Prepare accurate cost estimates for door installation projects based on drawings and specifications.
Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Drawing Review:Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and specifications.
Review drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and identify any discrepancies or potential issues.
- Procurement:Source materials, hardware, and components required for door installation projects, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
Review supplier quotations and negotiate contracts to achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Financial Management:Manage project budgets, cash flows, and financial reporting for door installation projects.
Track variations and change orders, assessing their impact on project costs and timelines.
- Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of project costs, contracts, and payments, using relevant software tools.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients, highlighting project financial performance and key metrics.
- Collaboration:Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, design, and installation teams, to ensure seamless project execution.
Liaise with external stakeholders, such as architects, contractors, and clients, to address queries and resolve issues effectively.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Certificate in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with relevant software tools, such as MS Excel, AutoCAD, and cost estimation software.
