Job Summary

You will lead cost management activities by preparing detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and budgets to ensure project financial control. Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate quotations, manage contract compliance, and deliver accurate commercial reports that support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and quantify materials and work items from drawings and specifications to support accurate project costing
  • Develop detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BQ) to guide financial planning and resource allocation
  • Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to maintain budget compliance throughout project lifecycle
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to inform award recommendations aligned with project objectives
  • Prepare and assess progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts to ensure accurate financial documentation and payment processing
  • Assist in contract administration by ensuring adherence to contract terms and managing contractual obligations effectively
  • Track and assess cost implications of design and construction changes to maintain financial accuracy and project viability
  • Liaise proactively with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate clear communication and resolve commercial issues
  • Prepare comprehensive cost reports and commercial summaries for management review to support informed decision-making
  • Support claims preparation, negotiation, and dispute resolution processes to protect project interests and minimize risks

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or related discipline
  • Minimum 3years of relevant working experience in construction.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings, contracts, and cost control processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Autocad & Bluebeam
  • Demonstrated analytical skills applied to cost evaluation and negotiation
  • Effective communication skills to engage with diverse project stakeholders
