Job Summary
You will support project and contract management by preparing and submitting progress claims, managing contractual matters, and coordinating with consultants and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost control and contract compliance.
Responsibilities
- Submit Main Contracts Progress claims with approval from Senior Contracts Manager, Contracts Manager, or Project Manager to ensure timely payment processing
- Assist Project Manager and Contracts Managers in managing contractual matters, including variation claims and extension of time (EOT) claims, to mitigate project risks
- Solicit quotations and prepare cost comparisons for review by Project Manager and Contracts Managers to support informed procurement decisions
- Liaise with Consultants Quantity Surveyors to resolve discrepancies in contract documents and disputes with subcontractors, ensuring contract compliance and dispute resolution
- Monitor and verify quantity status of material stock, Main Contracts Progress Claims, and payment claims from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to maintain accurate project cost tracking
- Determine material quantities required for ordering to support project execution and cost efficiency
- Prepare final accounts for subcontractors and vendors to facilitate contract closure and financial reconciliation
- Collaborate with Senior Contracts Manager and Contracts Manager to prepare contract documents for Main Contracts and Subcontracts, ensuring contractual accuracy and completeness
- Compile petty cash claims and submit to HR department for approval and payment to maintain financial accountability
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field such as Construction Management or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, preferably in Singapore
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., SMM7, CostX) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic knowledge of Singapore building regulations and contract forms
