Quantity surveyor

Description

• Assist Project Manager in tendering, understand the tender specification requirement.
• Taking Tender BQ, liaises with Main Con QS, Suppliers, Contractors, etc.
• Need take BQ on Construction Drawing thereafter for Variation Purpose.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Latest Cost Forecast & Monitor Cost Increase in terms of Potential Change Orders to determine Latest Contract Value.
• Prepare and issue to the Contractor Request For Quotations, Change Orders & Variation Orders
• Understanding of contractual terms and conditions, including Bill of quantities.
• Ability to interpret mechanical Material Take Off and Measurements.
• Carry out price comparison between the contract's bill of quantities and actual scope of work
• Negotiate, prepare and adjust progress claims as per clients comments or instruction
• Monitor changes on plans for variation orders.
• Prepare monthly progress claim/report to client and owner.
• Submit change order request for client approval
• Maintains strict confidentiality and ethics on all contractual matters.
• Liaise with Client respective Quantity Surveyor/Contract Engineers on contractual matters and progress payments.
• Take off quantities and participate in private and public project tenders, work out variation claims, and verify measurements with the client.
• Certify and evaluate the progress work done, including contract administration for variations for both the main contract and subcontract work.
• Responsible for preparing necessary documentation from shortlisting to awarding contracts.
• Check all receiving Field Work Order (FWO) with respective site in-charge to before onward submission of documents for approval by the Project Manager
• Assist and work with project tendering

Requirements

• Minimum Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 3 - 4 years of relevant Experienced in the electrical trade or ACMV trade of HDB/Condominium/Commercial projects.
• Knowledge of Autocad
• Understand the market updates and construction cost trend
