Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost planning, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration to ensure our projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation & Planning
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for construction projects. - Tender Management
Prepare tender documentation, evaluate bids, and participate in the negotiation and award of contracts. - Contract Administration
Administer contracts, including variation orders, interim valuations, and final accounts in compliance with contractual obligations. - Measurement & Valuation
Perform accurate quantity take-offs and valuations for works executed on-site. - Budget & Cost Control
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost-effective project delivery. - Risk Management
Identify commercial risks and propose mitigation strategies to protect project profitability. - Reporting
Prepare regular financial and progress reports for internal stakeholders and clients. - Compliance
Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Finance.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quantity surveying or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts (e.g., FIDIC, JCT, SIA), and cost management.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and cost estimating software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam).
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, AIQS, SISV) is a plus.
