Job Summary
Support the Quantity Surveying function by preparing accurate cost estimates, tender documents, and progress claims, while managing procurement and supplier negotiations to ensure successful delivery of interior design and fit-out projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Quantity Surveying by managing key deliverables and contributing to project cost control
- Prepare detailed quotations, cost estimates, and bills of quantities to inform project budgeting and tender submissions
- Develop tender and contract documents, including quantity take-offs, material sourcing, and cost estimation to facilitate competitive bidding
- Source and procure materials by negotiating effectively with suppliers and subcontractors to optimize project costs
- Evaluate price comparisons and prepare comprehensive costing summaries to support decision-making
- Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to clients, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing
- Verify and maintain records of project variation works and site instructions to manage scope changes and costs
- Attend site surveys as required to gather data for accurate quantity surveying and project assessment
- Perform other quantity surveying duties as assigned to support project delivery and team objectives
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Design & Build or similar environment, preferably specializing in fit-out or interior design projects
- Experience managing large commercial or corporate office fit-out projects, including new builds and renovations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with MEP systems and Brava software is advantageous
- Knowledge of the Gebiz tender process is beneficial
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines
