Job Summary

You will manage project cost estimation and procurement activities to ensure budget adherence and timely material delivery, supporting successful project execution.

Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budget forecasts, and bills of quantities (BQ) to support project financial planning
• Manage progress claims, final accounts, and sub-contractor payments
• Monitor project expenses to ensure alignment with approved budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities

Purchasing & Procurement

• Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain competitive pricing without compromising quality
• Issue Purchase Orders, monitor material deliveries and inventory levels, and coordinate delivery schedules to prevent site delays
• Monitor materials pricing to optimize procurement cost efficiency
• Maintain and expand a database of trusted suppliers and contractors to support procurement needs

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quantity surveying and purchasing within the construction industry
• Proficiency in QS software and Microsoft Excel

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Strong negotiation skills demonstrated through successful supplier and subcontractor agreements
• Attention to detail in managing contracts and procurement documentation
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
• Proactive team player attitude with flexibility to handle ad-hoc assignments beyond standard scope
