Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, negotiate terms, and prepare procurement recommendations.
• Monitor project costs, verify progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Maintain project documentation, including contracts, schedules, reports, and meeting records.
• Provide administrative support to project managers in planning and execution.
• Help with data entry and updating of costing spreadsheets or documents (LA).
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery and compliance with specifications.
• Conduct site visits to monitor works, validate claims, and resolve site issues when required.
• Support value engineering initiatives and propose cost-effective alternatives.
• Assist in project handover, ensuring all financial and contractual matters are properly closed.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned by management to support overall project and company needs.
