Job Summary

Prepare and manage tender and contract documents, coordinate project quality and progress, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure compliance and successful project delivery in construction quantity surveying.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, material quantities, and take-offs to support project bidding and execution
  • Establish client requirements and coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet specifications
  • Develop and advise on procurement strategies to optimize project sourcing and cost efficiency
  • Prepare, analyze, and track expenses and costing for tenders and ongoing projects to maintain budget control
  • Allocate work to subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely and quality delivery according to contractual obligations
  • Guide project administrators in preparing monthly progress claims, subcontract payment claims, and provide advice on contractual claims management
  • Analyze project outcomes and collaborate with the project team to write detailed progress reports
  • Coordinate and liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other parties to resolve project specifications and technical issues
  • Review and verify architectural, civil, and structural work for compliance with local construction regulations
  • Instruct project administrators in preparing method statements and presentations for project documentation
  • Schedule and lead regular project meetings, record decisions, assigned tasks, and next steps to ensure clear communication
  • Break down projects into manageable tasks with defined timeframes and goals to facilitate progress tracking
  • Monitor project progress proactively and address potential issues to maintain project timelines
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project participants to streamline communication and issue resolution
  • Identify potential projects, set targets, and collaborate with the commercial department to secure new contracts
  • Participate in the process of work head applications to support project approvals
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support project and company objectives

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience with LTA & SMRT projects or equivalent

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and material quantity take-offs
  • Strong analytical skills applied to project costing and expense tracking
  • Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills demonstrated in project coordination and stakeholder management
