Role Overview
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Admin with at least 1 year of relevant experience to join our team. In addition to supporting quantity surveying and administrative functions, this role will also be responsible for sourcing and leading tender opportunities for our construction and supply businesses. You'll work closely with senior management to identify, evaluate, and prepare competitive bids.
Key Responsibilities
Quantity Surveying Support
- Prepare cost estimates, tender documents, and bills of quantities (BQ)
- Evaluate and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
- Support cost analysis, budget tracking, and value engineering exercises
- Assist in managing contracts, variations, and progress claims
Procurement & Administration
- Coordinate procurement of materials and services
- Maintain supplier and subcontractor records and databases
- Prepare purchase orders and payment documentation
- Support project managers with scheduling, documentation, and reporting
- Provide general administrative support to the project and management teams
Tender Sourcing & Business Development
- Research and identify new tender opportunities (public & private sectors)
- Maintain and update a tender tracking database
- Coordinate and lead tender submissions, including documentation, costing, and compliance requirements
- Liaise with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors to prepare bid proposals
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and pricing to improve win rates
Requirements
- Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in quantity surveying, procurement, or tender administration
- Knowledge of Singapore construction tender processes and pricing advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) QS software exposure a plus
- Strong research, organizational, and communication skills
- Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working in a start-up environment
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
