Market Maker - Singapore
Rare opportunity to help build a new APAC trading hub for a top Chicago-based proprietary trading firm with a long track record of profitability, They're expanding into Singapore and are hiring a Market Maker to help establish and grow their APAC presence.
This is a front-office, PnL-driven role on an existing, successful TTF gas market-making book, covering the hours when the Chicago desk is offline. You'll have real responsibility from day one and the chance to play a key role in shaping a new office with strong backing from headquarters.
What you'll be doing
- Running and managing a live TTF market-making book during APAC hours
- Working closely with the Chicago trading team to ensure seamless handover and strategy continuity
- Monitoring market conditions, liquidity, and flow to optimise spreads and inventory
- Contributing to strategy improvements and automation alongside quants and developers
- Helping establish best practices and processes as the Singapore office grows
What they're looking for
- 2-5 years experience in market making (any asset class) at a prop firm or trading shop
- Strong intuition for liquidity provision, risk, and microstructure
- Excellent maths, probability, and quantitative reasoning skills
- Comfortable making fast decisions in live markets
- No prior commodities or energy experience required training provided
