We are seeking a capable and disciplined Mid-Level Gold Quantitative Trader to support the execution, monitoring, and optimisation of quantitative trading strategies focused on XAUUSD (Gold). The role involves live trading execution, strategy evaluation, risk management, and continuous performance improvement within a structured trading environment.
This position is suitable for professionals with relevant quantitative or systematic trading experience who are looking to further develop their career in a professional trading setup.
Execute gold (XAUUSD) quantitative trading strategies independently or with guidance
Deploy company-provided strategies or approved self-developed strategies
Apply strategies to live trading accounts using real capital
Conduct backtesting and robustness analysis using MT4 / MT5 / Python
Optimise strategies with focus on:
Risk control and drawdown management
Consecutive loss control
Long-term strategy stability
Monitor live trading performance and adjust parameters or position sizing in accordance with predefined rules
Execute risk management measures during major market events, including:
Non-Farm Payroll (NFP)
CPI releases
Interest rate decisions
Perform regular performance reviews and analysis
Identify profit and loss drivers
Propose practical and implementable strategy improvements
2-5 years of experience in quantitative trading, algorithmic trading, or EA trading (Gold / Forex)
Exposure to live trading environments with real capital
Understanding of gold market behaviour, including volatility and liquidity dynamics
Candidates should demonstrate at least two of the following:
Stable live trading record over a sustained period
Demonstrated risk and drawdown management
Ability to clearly explain strategy logic and associated risks
Trading approaches should prioritise risk management and sustainability.
Candidates should demonstrate at least one of the following:
Proficiency in MT4 / MT5 with the ability to understand and adjust EA logic
Experience using Python for backtesting or data analysis
Ability to interpret trading parameters and execution logic
Clear position sizing and stop-loss methodology
Strong discipline in following defined trading rules
Professional, long-term approach to trading activities
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification preferred
(Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering are advantageous)
Academic requirements may be considered flexibly for candidates with strong demonstrable trading performance
Base Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience
Performance Bonus / Profit Sharing: Subject to discussion and performance
