We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Developer to contribute to the development of an AIdriven platform designed to enhance the way portfolio and strategy teams interact with data. This role focuses on integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) with internal analytics systems, automating research workflows, and enabling naturallanguage interactions to streamline strategy monitoring and enhancement.
You will play a key part in building foundational infrastructure, robust data pipelines, and secure interfaces that support missioncritical quantitative workflows. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering problems, working with financial data, and innovating at the intersection of AI and quantitative research.
Key Responsibilities
Platform & Backend Development
- Design, build, test, and deploy scalable backend components and service layers in Python (strong Python skills are essential).
- Develop and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and internal tooling that power the AI/LLM platform.
- Enhance existing internal systems to support reliable access to strategy metadata, historical PnL data, attribution metrics, and other research datasets.
Data Engineering & Integration
- Build and optimize data pipelines for generating strategy metrics, features, and monitoring datasets.
- Implement and maintain data parsing, ingestion, and transformation logic across formats such as JSON, CSV, and internal data sources.
- Collaborate on API development to ensure seamless communication across knowledge systems, simulation environments, and data warehouses.
AI / LLM Interaction Layer
- Implement secure, effective prompt engineering techniques for interacting with LLMs, with a focus on IP protection.
- Contribute to tooling that enables naturallanguage querying and automated insights for portfolio managers and researchers.
Collaboration & Code Quality
- Work closely with product leads, technical stakeholders, and developers to define specifications and deliver reliable solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and documentation of newly built components.
- Stay current with advancements in AI, LLMs, and financial technology to evolve platform capabilities.
What You'll Bring
Core Technical Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in Python (mandatory).
- Experience developing and integrating APIs and working with backend service architectures.
- Solid understanding of databases, data modeling, and efficient data access patterns.
- Hands-on experience with data parsing and manipulation frameworks (e.g., Pandas, JSON, CSV).
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and working with LLMdriven systems.
- Awareness of best practices related to data security and protection of proprietary information.
