About the role
You will work in collaboration with Technicians, Production, and Warehouse personnel across the manufacturing environment - covering incoming inspection, in-process and final quality checks, RMA, NCMR, sub-assemblies, integration, testing, and packing and shipping of instruments and kits. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform IQC, IPQC, and FQC inspections on instruments, subassemblies, components and accessories against drawing specifications, ECs and BOMs
- Conduct visual and dimensional QC inspections of incoming materials, in-process materials, labelling, and final finished goods
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, standards, procedures, and test data for product and process verification and validation
- Participate in and support nonconformance processes including NCMR, MRB, and RMA - ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Accurately record inspection results, maintain good documentation practices, and provide data analysis against defined specifications
- Support complaint investigation processes and assist in resolving production-critical supplier issues related to mechanical and electro-mechanical discrepancies
- Ensure efficient material flow, storage of inspected parts, and accurate inventory transactions within the MRP system
- Support all QMS policies and procedures in compliance with GMP and ISO standards
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering or related field preferred ITE in Engineering with up to 2 years of relevant experience will be considered
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and inspection criteria, and apply them using appropriate inspection tools
- Must be able to distinguish between colours and pass a colour vision test
- Solid understanding of problem-solving tools including root cause analysis and statistical processes
- Good verbal and written communication skills able to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Able to work in a standing position for extended periods and perform hands-on instrument assembly during incoming and final QC.
