Job Description:
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the quality function across DCN operations in APAC, ensuring products meet SLB and client expectations while building and maturing quality systems for a growing product line. This role plays a key interface with customers and suppliers, requiring a confident and professional presence, along with the ability to define and implement quality requirements in an evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the quality strategy for DCN APAC
- Define and establish quality requirements for new and evolving products
- Act as the primary quality interface with customers, ensuring strong communication and trust
- Develop and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) processes across APAC operations
- Establish quality control plans, inspection strategies, and testing requirements
- Monitor quality performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions
- Oversee non-conformance, deviation, and Product Quality (PQ) processes
- Drive supplier quality performance, particularly with contract manufacturing partners
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations
- Lead audits (internal, supplier, and customer) and ensure readiness at all times
- Develop and mentor quality engineers, inspectors, and support staff
- Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure quality is built into the product and process
Qualifications& Experience:
- 7-10+ years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing or quality management
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or engineered product environments
- Experience working with customers in a client-facing quality role
- Experience building or maturing quality systems for new or evolving products preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
Technical /Functional Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO or equivalent)
- Experience developing quality plans, inspection/test procedures, and control strategies
- Expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies (8D, 5-Why, etc.)
- Familiarity with supplier quality management and contract manufacturing environments
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements
- Experience with quality metrics, reporting, and statistical tools
