Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

The Quality Executive is responsible for managing food safety, quality, and compliance activities for Singapore and Johor Bahru operations (Singapore Market). This role requires close collaboration with regional teams, co-packers, customers, and 3rd party warehouses to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to Coca-Colas KORE standards. The role also involves supporting safety initiatives, regulatory licensing, and audits. The role requires occasional early morning starts, travels to Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and the ability to support translation of materials/documents between English and Chinese to facilitate collaboration across teams.

Consumer & Customer Complaint Management

  • Lead preliminary investigations for product complaints in the Singapore market, including McDonalds.
  • Arrange return of affected samples to Enstek for further testing and investigation.
  • Collaborate closely with Malaysia consumer complaint PIC, CIC, and commercial teams to ensure prompt resolution. Manage McDonalds monthly product returns, meetings with their warehouse, and on-site support if needed. Prepare monthly product complaint reports, summaries, trend charts, for internal and external KPI updates

Product Crisis Management

  • Member of the Incident Assessment Team (IAT), responsible for complaint background updates and coordinating communication.
  • Initiate product traceability and identify affected sales channels (MT, GT, OPKA).
  • Lead product recalls or rework processes in Singapore if required.

Co-Packer Product Management Support (Drinking & Mineral Water, Malaysia)

  • Manage release of bulk water products (19L, 11.34L) and imported beverages, including COA verification.
  • Conduct internal lab testing (physiochemical), retention samples, and record-keeping.
  • Lead mandatory co-packer traceability exercises (twice a year).
  • Review and coordinate damaged bulk water bottle conditions for write-off approval.
  • Support co-packer trials, internal audits, GAO audits and other function applicable to business needs.

3rd Party Warehouse Management

  • Conduct monthly Good Warehouse Practice (GWP) audits in Singapore and Johor Bahru.
  • Ensure pest control programs and GWP compliance at all warehouses.
  • Perform gap analysis against internal KORE standards

Total Product Management (TPM) & Fountain Program

  • Support TPM initiatives for product handling and quality improvement.
  • Conduct a minimum of 3 quarterly fountain outlet audits, ensuring compliance with fountain quality and hygiene index.
  • Observe technician servicing procedures, provide feedback, and debrief outlet managers.
  • Follow up with commercial key accounts on audit findings via email reports.

Safety Initiatives

  • Co-lead RTM GAO audits for Singapore and Johor Bahru warehouses.
  • Create Call-to-Action (CTA) materials for stand and update boards in both English and Chinese.
  • Support weekly GEMBA walks (typically at 6am, transport claims provided).
  • Conduct Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) observations.

Singapore Food Agency (SFA) Compliance

  • Oversee warehouse and import license renewals.
  • Coordinate quarterly SFA inspections for drinking water sampling.

Audits

  • Prepare and support the yearly US Military Audit, ensuring all documents are updated and compliant

Mock Recall/Traceability:

  • Plan, execute, and review mock recall and traceability exercise for Singapore, ensuring they are conducted as scheduled.
  • Document outcomes and corrective actions to improve traceability and product safety.

Support any Supply Chain activities in Singapore

  • Lead authorization of new warehouses prior to storage approval.
  • Represent QSE in the monthly supply chain townhall in Singapore to share QSE matters in both English and Chinese

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and new technologies to offer innovative solutions that improve compliance and quality across the supply chain.

EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATION

Experience:

  • Working experience in the related field, preferably with experience specializing in Quality Control/Assurance, handling complaint and/or equivalent.
  • Have experience in conducting audit and expertise in troubleshooting by applying root cause analysis methods.
  • Familiar with manufacturing operations, preferably in food and beverage manufacturing.
  • Communicates effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Experience in Management Systems (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO14001, ISO45001)
