Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Engineer to ensure product quality, compliance with industry standards, and continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality control systems, root cause analysis, and process validation, preferably in an ISO-certified environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Control & Assurance
Develop and implement quality control plans (QCP), inspection procedures, and testing protocols.
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections using tools like CMM, micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
Perform FAI (First Article Inspection), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and MSA (Measurement System Analysis).
2. Process Improvement & Compliance
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for defects/non-conformities.
Monitor process capability (Cp/Cpk, SPC) and drive continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma).
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (automotive), AS9100 (aerospace), or customer-specific requirements.
3. Documentation & Audits
Maintain quality records, COC (Certificate of Conformance), and compliance documentation.
Conduct internal audits and support customer/third-party audits (e.g., ISO, FDA).
Prepare 8D reports, FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis), and control plans.
4. Supplier & Customer Quality
Work with suppliers to resolve incoming material defects and improve supplier quality performance.
Address customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
3+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in manufacturing (automotive, aerospace, electronics, or medical devices).
Strong knowledge of:
Quality tools (SPC, FMEA, APQP, PPAP)
Metrology & inspection equipment (CMM, vision systems, tensile testers)
ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other industry standards
Certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), Lead Auditor) are a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office, Minitab, and ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, QMS software).
