Develop and review SOPs, assembly work orders, control plans, and quality checklists.
Monitor assembly operations perform in-process inspections and dimensional/optical checks using calipers, micrometers, AOI and vision systems.
Validate finished products through visual inspections, functional testing, AOI, automated optical systems, and documentation control.
Identify, document, and contain defects.
Lead root-cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions (e.g. 8D, FMEA).
Handle customer complaints and RMAs.
Use statistical methods (SPC, MSA, GR&R, DOE) to analyze defect trends, yield, and process capability (CpK).
Drive continuous improvement activities and equipment efficiency initiatives.
Liaise with design, manufacturing, process, test, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues, support new product introductions (NPIs), and align assemblies to design intent.
Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirement:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
2-5+ years of quality engineering experience in semiconductor, electronics, or precision equipment assembly.
Proficiency with statistical tools and methods (SPC, MSA, CpK, DOE, FMEA, 8D).
Familiarity with quality management systems and industry standards.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Experience leading root-cause analysis and implementing CAPAs.
Familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment or cleanroom manufacturing environments.
