Quality Systems & Standards
- Develop and maintain QA documentation such as SOPs,
inspection criteria, and control plans
- Ensure product and process compliance with internal specifications,
industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and customer requirements
- Participate in the setup and maintenance of ISO certifications and
audits
Process & Product Quality
- Conduct first article inspections (FAI), in-process checks, and final
product audits
- Monitor and report key quality metrics (e.g., defect rate, scrap rate,
customer complaints)
- Analyze non-conforming products and initiate corrective/preventive
actions (CAPA)
- Review design and engineering changes from a quality perspective
- Liaise with production teams to resolve issues and ensure
implementation of corrective actions
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Lead root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone
(Ishikawa), and FMEA
- Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects using lean,
Six Sigma, or kaizen techniques
- Train and support line staff on quality standards and problem-
solving techniques
Customer & Supplier Quality
- Coordinate with customers on quality concerns, audits, and quality
documentation requests
- Work with suppliers on incoming material inspections and quality
issues
- Develop incoming inspection plans and supplier evaluation
checklists
Preferred requirements:
- Understand and able to interpret 2D and 3D mechanical drawings
- Knowledge in surface finishing process
- Strong ability to analyze data, troubleshoot, and solve complex, unexpected problems
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and train staff. Proficiency in quality tools and methods (e.g., Six Sigma, FMEA, MSA, SPC), CAD software, and Microsoft Office.
