Position Overview:

The Quality Engineer (APAC) is a key member of Vita Coco's Technical Team, responsible for ensuring product sterility, safety, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA FSMA, GFSI) across the region. This role focuses on validation, documentation, and continuous improvement in aseptic manufacturing and packaging environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management & Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor and analyze quality data from multiple sources to drive improvements.
  • Support execution of Vita Coco's quality management strategies and goals.

Product & Process Support:

  • Monitor production processes, analyze quality data (e.g., SPC, Minitab), and recommend improvements for durability, sterility, and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support for new factory setups and ensure adherence to Vita Coco quality standards.
  • Plan, develop, and execute qualification documentation (e.g., Sterility Protocols, SID Filings) for filling and packaging equipment and aseptic lines.
  • Lead root cause analyses for deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints; implement effective CAPAs.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Technical teams, supply chain, and suppliers to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Collect, review, and report quality data using analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Python).
  • Track and report on quality improvement initiatives and project progress.

Compliance & Auditing:

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal quality standards.
  • Participate in internal and third-party audits.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, or related discipline.
  • 57 years of experience in Tetra Pak processes, Food & Beverage canning, and line quality control in F&B industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and business analytics tools (Power BI, Python, etc.).
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and tools.
  • Strong communication skills; able to work across diverse teams and regions.
  • Flexibility for extended hours and 40% international travel across APAC.
