About the Role

Hanna Instruments is looking for a versatile and detail-oriented QC Officer cum Repair Technician to join our technical team in Singapore. This dual-function role is critical in ensuring that our scientific instrumentation-ranging from pH meters to complex photometers-meets the highest global quality standards before reaching our customers.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end technical lifecycle of our products, from initial quality inspections of incoming stock to the hands-on diagnostic and repair of units returned for servicing.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control (QC) Operations:

  • Perform rigorous quality inspections on analytical instruments and reagents according to established SOPs.

  • Verify technical specifications, calibration accuracy, and aesthetic standards of finished goods.

  • Maintain meticulous records of inspection results and manage non-conformance reports (NCR).

  • Monitor and maintain the calibration of in-house laboratory testing equipment.

Technical Service & Repair:

  • Diagnose hardware and software malfunctions in a wide array of water analysis and scientific equipment.

  • Execute repairs, including component replacement, PCB soldering, and mechanical adjustments.

  • Conduct post-repair calibration and validation to ensure instruments perform to factory specifications.

  • Provide technical troubleshooting support and draft service reports for customers.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Diploma or ITE in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation, Chemistry, or a related technical field.

  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a technical repair or QC laboratory environment. Experience with scientific sensors or water testing equipment is a significant advantage.

  • Technical Proficiency: . Strong hands-on skills in using multimeters and soldering tools.

    • Ability to read circuit diagrams and technical blueprints.

  • Soft Skills: High level of precision, right-first-time mentality, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required for technical reporting.
