Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QAQC) Manager

This is a corporate-level role responsible for overseeing and managing quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) activities across all project sites. The role ensures that quality standards, procedures, and requirements are consistently implemented and maintained throughout all projects.

Responsibilities:

• Execute implementation and maintenance of the quality system by carrying out surveillance and random checks
• Review the effectiveness of the existing work procedures and quality system to ensure quality control is conducted efficiently and effectively in a consistent manner
• Review and prepare quality reports and other paperwork to ensure that all relevant project quality records are properly controlled and maintained
• Identify quality related problems and monitor the status of non-conformance and propose solutions / corrective actions where appropriate
• Lead, guide, and execute the CONQUAS/Quality Mark applicable to selected projects with project team
• Lead, guide, and execute the Green and Gracious Builder Scheme (GGBS) implementation and external audit with project team
• Lead and execute ISO management system implementation, maintenance and internal & external audit with project team
• Participate and involve in the Environment, Green and Caring activities
• Collaborate with Project team to supervise subcontractor's work quality to enhance safety & productivity of the work
• Review and improve construction Method Statement for all activities to ensure compliance with company policy, contractual specification, and authority compliance
• Plan and execute all independent testing requirements in accordance with company policy, contractual specification, and authority compliance for all work involved for quality assurance practice

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field
• At least 10 years experience in a similar role in the construction industry with proven track record and relevant achievements
• Familiar in conducting quality audits and surveillances; and proficient in the concepts of construction productivity, sustainability and QAQC
• Familiar with statutory requirements and standards of quality management system in construction industry
• Keen interest in the area of digitalization and innovation
• Possess Auditor Trainings in ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 and well-versed in QAQC management procedure
• Excellent communication skill and ability to lead a team of QAQC Engineers
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment and work with all levels of professionals in a diverse cultural environment
• Highly motivated, self-driven with initiatives to work independently
• Candidates who possess experience in building and construction industry will have an added advantage
