Job Summary
Participate in the engineering, procurement, and manufacturing processes of rotating equipment, including process gas compressors, pumps, emergency diesel generators, cranes, instrument air compressors, and nitrogen generation units.
The role covers the full vendor lifecycle from RFQ to shipment, with responsibility for managing and controlling vendor quality activities such as TBE, PO review, KOM, PIM, manufacturing follow‑up, inspections, FAT, and final acceptance.
Principal Responsibilities
- Become familiar with company quality requirements, project specifications, and applicable standards and codes
- Support the Procurement Department and participate in meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with project and contractual requirements
- Attend Kick‑Off Meetings (KOM) and organize Pre‑Inspection Meetings (PIM); prepare and present the quality section of KOM presentations
- Review and comment on vendor documentation, including:
- Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)
- Manufacturing Procedures / Plans (MPS)
- FAT procedures and reports
- Inspection reports and quality records
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams on technical and quality comments; organize clarification meetings when required
- Proactively liaise with Third‑Party Inspection (TPC) coordinators and update engineering, procurement, and client teams on vendor package progress
- Verify Notification of Inspection (NOI) readiness and coordinate inspections with TPC
- Review and comment on TPC inspection reports
- Manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), including expediting vendor corrective action and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) submissions within three (3) working days of NCR issuance
- Review and approve Manufacturer's Record Books (MRB) and as‑built dossiers
Education, Experience & Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance related to procurement execution and vendor inspection activities
- Strong knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 quality management system requirements
- Demonstrated working knowledge of applicable international codes and standards, including but not limited to: API standards, ASME Section II / V / VIII / IX
- Certifications such as CSWIP 3.1, AWS‑CWI, IWE, or NDT qualifications are considered an added advantage
