Quality and EHS intern
You'll make a difference by:
- Supporting Audit Management: Assisting in the preparation and execution of internal audits to ensure our processes meet global Siemens quality standards and local safety regulations.
- Analyzing Performance Metrics: Gathering and visualizing data on environmental impact, energy usage, and product quality to help the team track progress toward sustainability goals.
- Promoting Workplace Safety: Collaborating on the development of safety campaigns and digital training materials to ensure every employee returns home safe every day.
- Optimizing Process Documentation: Reviewing and updating technical workflows and safety instructions to ensure they are clear, digitalized, and easy for the operations team to access.
- Investigating Quality Deviations: Participating in Deep Dive sessions to find the root cause of technical errors or safety near-misses and helping to implement long-term solutions.
- Driving Digital Transformation: Exploring and suggesting new digital tools or software features that can automate manual data entry for quality and safety reporting.
Your defining qualities:
- Educational Background: Currently enrolled in a university program focusing on Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical), Environmental Science, or Health & Safety.
- Analytical Curiosity: A natural tendency to look at data or a physical process and ask how can we make this safer or more efficient
- Communication Excellence: The ability to translate complex safety rules into simple, engaging instructions for a diverse workforce.
- Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy when checking technical documentsyou understand that in engineering, the small things matter most.
- Collaborative Mindset: A team player who is comfortable working across different departments and engaging with both office and factory-floor staff.
- Tech Savvy: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel) and a keen interest in how Industry 4.0 is changing quality management.
