Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QEHS Manager to lead the organization's quality, environmental, health and safety initiatives. This role will oversee compliance with regulatory and ISO standards, manage incident investigations, conduct audits and risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement across all operations while promoting a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities:

QEHS Management

  • Manage the QEHS team to develop, implement, and enforce safety programs, policies, and procedures to comply with OSHA and other relevant safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001).

  • Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure their adherence to the company's quality and safety standards.

  • Lead the investigation of workplace incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence.

  • Develop and implement environmental policies and programs to minimize the company's environmental footprint.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments of cleaning sites, equipment, and chemicals used.

  • Assist with safety audits and inspections by regulatory agencies and ensure timely reporting and resolution of any findings.

  • Ensure that all employees adhere to safety guidelines during cleaning operations, including the use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Maintain the organisation's legal register, licenses and permits, taking steps to ensure the organisation maintains its accreditations etc.

  • Stay informed of changes in regulations related to quality, environmental, and health & safety and ensure the organization is compliant.

Emergency Response & Incident Management

  • Implement the Crisis Management Plan and Business Continuity Plans across all business units.

  • Lead investigations of safety incidents or accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to QEHS.

  • Generate and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of the QEHS programs and identify areas for improvement.

  • Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of QEHS initiatives, incidents, and audits.

  • Prepare reports for regulatory bodies and senior management regarding compliance status.

  • Establish and manage QEHS documentation controls to meet evolving regulatory and business needs.

Training & Awareness

  • Ensure all new hires receive proper onboarding training related to safety standards and guidelines, and provide regular safety training to employees.

  • Conduct periodic safety drills and emergency response training.

  • Work closely with Operations, HR, and other departments to promote a culture of safety throughout the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.
  • Possess BizSafe Level 2 and Managing Work-At-Height (WAH) certifications.
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
  • Registered FSM with SCDF preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related QEHS & BCM experiences in facility management or commercial cleaning.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing and leading a team of EHS professionals and leading ISO audits.
  • Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO18001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22301 integrated management systems is a must.
  • Possession of riding/driving licence will be advantageous.
  • IT savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to respond to emergency situations at all times.
  • Ability to effectively manage and ensure compliance among a diverse team of technical managerial/supervisory, professional, and support staff.
  • Excellent policy, corporate document and reporting writing skills.
  • Knowledge of current developments and trends in QEHS & BCM best practices, project management, and related technology.
