Overview:
The Quality Control (QC) Technician ensures that products meet quality standards before shipment. This role involves visual and functional inspections, documentation, and communication with production and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspections on mechanical and electronic components
- Conduct functional tests using standard testing equipment
- Troubleshoot test equipment problems and perform minor repairs
- Meet daily production QC targets
- Document findings and report non-conformities
- Work with Engineering to understand specifications and tolerances
- Support continuous improvement efforts in quality and process control
- Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
Requirements:
- Technical education or certification in electronics/mechanics (IPC, OSHA, SMTA cert preferred)
- 1-3 years of experience in a QC role in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with testing tools and quality procedures
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Good English (reading/writing technical material)
- Able to see/identify small components on close-up, clearly
