The QC Inspector performs dimensional and visual inspections across all quality checkpoints including receiving, first piece, in-process and final inspections. The role ensures that products conform to engineering drawings, process sheets and customer requirements. Senior QC Inspectors are additionally responsible for guiding junior inspectors, interpreting GD&T independently, operating CMM systems and supporting documentation or measurement equipment management. Both roles are essential to maintaining production quality and traceability in accordance with AS9100 and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inspection Operations
- Perform Receiving, First-Piece, In-process and Final Inspections as required.
2. Verification of Incoming Material & Subcontracted Goods
- Perform required dimensional & visual inspectiosn, verification of vendors reports (includes mill and surface treatment certificate) and quantity checks.
3. First Piece/ In-process Inspections
- Perform First Piece and In-process inspections and records the inspection result.
4. Final / Outgoing Inspections
- Conduct dimensional and visual checks as per checklist, sampling plans and customer requirements.
5. Control of Non-Conforming Products
- Identify, segregate the NC products with NC reports and escalating to Quality Technician and Engineer for disposition and actions.
6. Equipment & Tool Handling
- Verify calibration status before use of measuring tools and proper handling of measuring equipment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years of experience in product inspection or quality control.
- Able to handle caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauges and Profile Projectors.
- Basic knowledge of ISO/AS9100 standards preferred CMM or vision system usage experience required.
- Able to read and write in English.
Required Competencies:
- Proficient in hand measurement tools and visual inspection methods.
- Able to follow inspection plans and SOPs with minimal supervision.
- Basic understanding of product traceability and documentation.
- Willingness to learn advanced tools and system.
- Strong GD&T interpretation and drawing analysis skills.
- Knowledge and Hand-on skilled in CMM operation (preferably with programming exposure).
