QC Engineer

JobDescription

. Prepare and review of ITP and quality procedures.

. Analyse and familiarize with project specification,standards and code requirement i.e. AWS D1.1, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME SecI & ASME SEC IX Etc.

. Conduct, witness and review welding procedurespecification and welder/welding operator's qualification test.

. Knowledge of various Materials ie. CS, SS, AlloySteel etc., and able to carry out Material Receiving Inspection (Raw Materials,Valves etc.,), against mill test certificates.

. Interpret drawings, prepare, review and oversee theexecution of visual inspection and NDT test plans.

. Monitor and ensure proper documentation of projectinspection and test report and review delivery documents.

. Liaise with classification surveyors and owner'srepresentative on daily inspection requirement

. Perform specific inspection and related activitiesi.e. visual inspection dimension verification, hydrostatic/pneumatic test etc.in compliance with class/client requirement.

. Evaluated and resolve technical problems fromproduction related to error in construction, initiate action to prevent theoccurrence of product non-conformities.

. Audit and review internal and contractors qualitysystem.

. Verify and maintain material and weldertraceability records. Prepare and compile traceability records.

. Co-ordinate and supervise QA/NDT inspector onproject status and on QA technical matters.

. Other ad-hoc duties deemed fit and necessary by thecompany.

Requirements

. Diploma / Degree in construction related field.

. Minimum (Degree-3 & Diploma-5) years ofworking experience as a QAQC Engineer M&P field.

. Good knowledge of Codes and other QAQC relatedSoftware's

. Must have Certification in ASNT Level-2, CWI or CSWIP3.1 or Equivalent.
