QAQC Manager

Job Description

• Lead and oversee the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) activities across project sites to ensure all construction works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, method statements, applicable standards, and the Company's QAQC requirements.
• Conduct regular site visits and coordinate QAQC inspections, with a primary focus on Structural Works and Architectural Works.
• Coordinate MPI, PLT and laboratory testing, including witness activities and review of results.
• Monitor the quality of construction activities and ensure that workmanship, materials, installation methods, and construction processes comply with approved specifications and relevant statutory requirements.
• Review and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, checklists, inspection records, test reports, and other project quality documentation.
• Ensure site teams carry out works in accordance with approved method statements, proper work sequences, and good industry practices.
• Assist project teams in preparing for and achieving CONQUAS / Quality Mark / BCA Quality Management assessments, where applicable, in accordance with project-specific requirements.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to identify non-conformities, workmanship issues, and potential quality risks, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues and ensure timely rectification.
• Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure that non-conformance issues are properly closed out.
• Establish, maintain, and regularly update project quality records, inspection reports, audit plans, checklists, and other QAQC documentation.
• Assist in conducting internal quality audits and site quality reviews to ensure continuous improvement of project quality performance.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams on QAQC procedures, quality standards, inspection requirements, and construction best practices.
• Ensure all relevant quality documentation is properly maintained and readily available for project audits and inspections.
• Monitor site workmanship and provide recommendations to improve construction quality and minimize defects and rework.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on quality-related matters when required.
• Support internal and external audits, closed findings and finalized quality documentation for handover.
• Perform any other QAQC-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Management or other relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in QAQC / Quality Control, preferably within the construction industry.
• Candidates with experience in a QAQC Manager / Quality Manager role will be preferred.
• Strong experience in Structural Works and Architectural Works is highly preferred.
• Experience in large-scale civil, infrastructure, building, or construction projects will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection procedures, method statements, and quality documentation.
• Familiarity with BCA requirements, CONQUAS, Quality Mark, and Singapore construction quality standards will be an advantage.
• Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, inspection checklists, and quality records.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with good attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients.
• Able to work independently, take ownership of quality matters, and coordinate effectively with multiple project stakeholders.
• Willing to travel between project sites as required.
