QAQC Inspector

Job Descriptions

• Conduct on-site inspections for structural steel and reinforced concrete (RC) works to ensure compliance with structural drawings and technical specifications.

• Inspect and test construction materials (e.g., rebar, concrete, steel sections) to ensure quality compliance.

• Identify non-conformities and report them to the superior.

• Perform visual weld inspections and dimensional checks on completed welds to identify defects such as cracks, porosity, or undercut.

• Witness Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections, including visual testing (VT), magnetic particle testing (MT/MPI), liquid penetrant testing (PT/LPT), ultrasonic testing (UT), and radiographic testing (RT).

• Record all work activities and maintain proper documentation.

• Ensure proper rectification measures and work methods are implemented.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience.

• Understanding of Civil & Structural (C&S) works.

• Knowledge of various welding techniques (SMAW, FCAW, TIG), metallurgy, and materials.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.

• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards such as BS, AWS D1.1, and ASME Section IX.

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

• Demonstrated leadership potential and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
