QAQC Engineer

Brief Summary

• Join a site-based QAQC function focused on ensuring works and deliverables meet defined quality standards and project requirements. You will drive inspections, documentation, and corrective actions while partnering closely with project teams and external parties.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out site inspections to verify works comply with approved specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Prepare, maintain, and implement project quality documentation such as Project Quality Plans and QA/QC inspection plans. Establish QA/QC methods, procedures, and inspection workflows to support consistent execution across project phases. Coordinate and execute inspections for materials, fabrication outputs, and site deliverables identify defects and verify closure. Review supplier and subcontractor documentation (e.g., certifications and quality submissions) to ensure compliance with required standards. Maintain structured quality records including inspection reports, audit plans, registers, and supporting technical documentation. Analyse inspection findings, raise non-conformances, and support root-cause review with the relevant project stakeholders. Escalate quality issues promptly and support implementation of corrective/preventive actions aligned to project needs. Support mock-ups / trade demonstrations to confirm workmanship standards and acceptance criteria. Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the quality management system. Coordinate across disciplines, project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure consistent application of QA/QC requirements. Perform other QA/QC-related tasks as assigned to support project delivery priorities.

Requirements

• Degree in Quality Assurance Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience supporting QA/QC activities on construction projects. Demonstrated ability to produce and manage QA/QC documentation (e.g., inspection plans, quality records, reports, registers). Strong attention to detail with structured planning and coordination skills. Able to interpret construction execution methods, sequencing, and productivity/timeframe considerations to support effective inspections. Comfortable working in a site environment and collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
