Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Inspector (Lift & Escalator Systems) to perform on-site quality inspections, safety verification, and compliance checks for elevator and escalator systems across Singapore.

This is a field-based QA/QC inspection role within the vertical transportation industry and is not a construction or general M&E installation role. The role primarily covers operational buildings with occasional exposure to installation commissioning and system handover inspections.

The role ensures all systems meet safety standards, ISO quality requirements, and OEM specifications, while supporting defect identification, compliance verification, and corrective actions with engineering teams.

  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:45 p.m.
  • Salary: S$2,500 - S$3,300 per month (based on experience and QA competency)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct QA/QC inspections of lifts and escalators at operational buildings and selected commissioning sites
  • Perform safety and compliance checks in line with statutory requirements, ISO standards, and OEM guidelines
  • Inspect key components including motors, control panels, braking systems, cables, doors, and safety devices
  • Conduct functional safety tests such as emergency stops, alarms, interlocks, and protective systems
  • Identify defects, hazards, and non-compliance issues and document findings clearly
  • Prepare structured inspection reports and compliance documentation for audit purposes
  • Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to support rectification works
  • Assist in commissioning and system handover quality checks when required
  • Maintain accurate inspection records for regulatory compliance
  • Travel across multiple sites daily (residential, commercial, industrial buildings)

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in lift or escalator maintenance, servicing, installation, inspection, or QA/QC work
  • Strong technical knowledge of elevator and escalator systems and safety functions
  • Experience in inspection, commissioning, or fault diagnosis is highly preferred
  • Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and OEM documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and disciplined reporting skills
  • Comfortable working in field environments, including height access and confined spaces
  • Willing to travel across multiple sites independently

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to OEM brands such as Mitsubishi, Schindler, KONE, Hitachi, or TK Elevator
  • Familiarity with QA/QC inspection processes or statutory compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems
  • Strong electromechanical troubleshooting experience
  • Background in commissioning or system handover inspection work
