About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality compliance at project sites. This is a site-based role responsible for ensuring all civil and infrastructure works - including maintenance, renewal, and upgrade activities - are executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
You will play a key role in safeguarding construction quality, supporting compliance with authorities, and ensuring our projects meet the highest engineering and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Site Quality Control & Compliance
- Monitor and verify that all site works comply with the latest approved drawings, contract specifications, method statements, and regulatory standards
- Conduct routine site inspections and ensure works are executed in accordance with Project Quality Plan and Quality Management procedures
- Plan and arrange concrete trial mixes and material testing in accordance with project requirements
Non-Conformance Management
- Identify quality deviations and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when works do not comply with specifications
- Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, Qualified Persons (QPs), and clients for corrective actions and timely closure of NCRs
- Track and monitor implementation of corrective and preventive measures
Documentation & Authority Submission
- Prepare and submit Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), material submissions, test results, and concrete design mixes for client approval
- Maintain and update Project Quality Plan, Quality Management Plan, and quality records on site
- Compile and submit test reports and quality documentation to authorities via proper transmittal procedures
- Prepare and update monthly quality progress reports for submission to clients and authorities
Testing & Audit Support
- Arrange and coordinate site testing activities in compliance with project and regulatory requirements
- Support and participate in internal and external quality audits
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and systematic filing of all quality records
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry (civil/infrastructure experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of construction quality control procedures and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience handling method statements, material submissions, and concrete mix designs
- Hands-on experience managing NCRs and authority submissions
- Familiarity with quality management systems and audit processes
- Strong coordination and communication skills with site teams, consultants, and authorities
- Meticulous, systematic, and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently in a site-based, fast-paced environment
