JobPurpose
To manageand implement the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure all constructionand marine works comply with project specifications, ISO standards, andregulatory requirements, while driving continuous quality improvement acrossprojects.
KeyResponsibilities
QualityManagement System (QMS)
- Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with company policies and objectives
- Maintain quality-related accreditations and certifications (e.g. ISO 9001)
- Review and update quality manuals, procedures, and forms to ensure relevance and compliance
- Recommend improvements to enhance quality standards and processes
QualityAssurance & Control (Site & Project)
- Prepare and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), method statements, and quality procedures
- Conduct site inspections to ensure works comply with approved drawings and specifications
- Monitor material quality and verify relevant certifications and approvals
- Coordinate inspection requests with consultants/clients
Audit& Compliance
- Conduct internal audits, identify non-conformance, and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Support external/customer audits and follow up on findings
- Ensure compliance with BCA, MOM, ISO standards, and project requirements
- Ensure adherence to quality, environmental, health, and safety policies, with authority to stop work for unsafe conditions
Non-Conformance& Continuous Improvement
- Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for internal works and suppliers
- Conduct root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Monitor and verify closure of non-conformance and corrective actions
- Analyse quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities
- Support and contribute to quality improvement initiatives and projects
Documentation& Reporting
- Maintain proper quality records, reports, and documentation
- Prepare periodic quality performance reports and analysis
- Assist in responding to customer inquiries, questionnaires, and technical documentation
Customer& Stakeholder Management
- Handle and investigate customer complaints, follow up on resolution, and support root cause analysis
- Liaise with project teams, clients, consultants, and suppliers on quality matters
Training& Engagement
- Conduct QA/QC induction training for new employees
- Promote awareness and participation in quality improvement programs across teams
General
- Support product/work release where required
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of QA/QC experience in construction or marine projects
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ITP, NCR, CAPA processes
- Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills
