About the Role
We are an ice manufacturing company looking for a detail-oriented QA Executive to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining our food safety and quality management systems, ensuring compliance with FSSC 22000, SFA regulations, and customer requirements. Beyond certification, you will also drive customer satisfaction and process efficiency, working closely with production, warehouse, and management teams to deliver consistent product quality.
What You'll Do
Food Safety & Quality Compliance
- Maintain and continuously improve the Food Safety Management System in line with FSSC 22000 and related standards.
- Monitor and ensure water quality, filtration systems, hygiene standards, and cold chain integrity throughout the production process.
- Conduct routine quality inspections on in-process production, finished ice products, and packaging.
- Ensure all products and processes comply with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations and customer quality specifications.
Customer Satisfaction & Process Efficiency
- Monitor and follow up on customer feedback, complaints, and quality-related returns to drive timely resolution and prevent recurrence.
- Work with cross-functional teams (production, logistics, sales) to identify and resolve issues that affect customer satisfaction, including product quality, packaging integrity, order accuracy, and timeliness of delivery.
- Review and improve production and quality processes to reduce waste, rework, and non-conformances.
- Track quality KPIs related to customer satisfaction, outgoing product quality, and rejection rates escalate trends as needed.
Documentation & Records
- Develop, review, and control quality documents such as SOPs, work instructions, quality plans, and specifications.
- Maintain the document control system, ensuring all records are accurate, up to date, and audit-ready.
Audits & Non-Conformance Management
- Plan and conduct internal audits track findings and ensure timely closure of non-conformances.
- Coordinate and support external, third-party, and SFA audits.
- Investigate product non-conformances through root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Supplier & Material Quality
- Assist in evaluation and approval of key suppliers (water treatment, packaging materials, chemicals).
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain approved supplier records.
Training & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct food safety and quality awareness training for employees.
- Identify opportunities for process efficiency and quality improvement through trend analysis and data monitoring.
- Support management review meetings with quality performance data and reports.
- Support compliance with other regulatory requirements (e.g., NEA, MOM) as needed.
What We're Looking For
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a quality assurance or food safety role, preferably in ice manufacturing, beverage, or food manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with ISO 22000, HACCP, or related food safety standards exposure to FSSC 22000 is an advantage.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety and quality standards such as FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP/GHP, and Halal standards.
- Proficient in document control and quality management systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
Preferred
- Internal Auditor certification (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, or equivalent).
- Experience supporting certification audits with third-party bodies.
