QA Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced *QA Engineer (API)* with 6-7 years of quality assurance experience and strong expertise in *API and Integration Testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in **Java, RestAssured, JMeter, API automation, backend validation, and Salesforce integrations*.

The candidate should also have exposure to *AI-driven API validation techniques*, including LLM-based schema comparison, intelligent test data generation, API response validation, and identification of unexpected integration patterns.

 Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and execute comprehensive *API and integration test strategies*.

* Build and maintain automated API test frameworks using *Java and RestAssured*.

* Perform *functional, integration, regression, and performance testing* of APIs.

* Conduct performance and load testing using *JMeter*.

* Validate API responses, schemas, data integrity, and integration workflows.

* Perform backend validation using *SQL and NoSQL databases*.

* Test and validate *JSON and XML* payloads.

* Validate *OAuth, authentication, and authorization* flows.

* Work with API documentation and testing tools such as *Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI*.

* Debug API and integration issues using logs, monitoring tools, and API proxy/debugging tools.

* Work with *Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud* functionality and integrations.

* Implement *Shift-Left Testing* by validating APIs, integration contracts, and workflows early in the development lifecycle.

* Collaborate with developers, architects, product teams, and other QA engineers to identify and resolve defects.

* Participate actively in *daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint retrospectives*.

* Take ownership of QA deliverables and ensure high-quality, reliable releases.

AI-Driven API Validation

The candidate should have hands-on or practical experience with AI-driven approaches to API testing and validation, including:

* Automated API schema comparison using *LLMs/AI*.

* Intelligent validation of API responses.

* AI-assisted generation of API test data.

* Creation of intelligent API mocks.

* Identification of unexpected patterns, anomalies, and edge cases in API integrations.

* Using AI/LLM techniques to improve API validation and test coverage.

Mandatory Skills

* 6-7 years of overall *QA/Software Testing experience*.

* Strong experience in *API and Integration Testing*.

* Hands-on expertise in *Java and RestAssured* for API automation.

* Hands-on experience with *JMeter* for performance testing.

* Experience with *Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud* functionality and integrations.

* Strong understanding of *JSON and XML*.

* Experience with *OAuth, authentication, and authorization* mechanisms.

* Experience with *Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI*, or similar API tools.

* Strong experience with *SQL/NoSQL databases* for backend validation.

* Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using:

 * Logs

 * Monitoring tools

 * Postman

 * Fiddler

 * Charles

 * Splunk or similar tools

* Experience with *AI-driven API validation techniques*.

* Experience with *API response validation and schema validation*.

* Understanding of *API mocks and test data generation*.

* Strong understanding of *Shift-Left Testing* and integration contract validation.

* Strong ownership, analytical, debugging, and attention-to-detail skills.

* Ability to work effectively in an *Agile/Scrum environment*.
