PURPOSE OF JOB
In close partnership with the Head of Department, the selected candidate will work collaboratively with WEO manufacturing sites to support the seamless implementation of the corporate quality objectives.
The individual will oversee the complaint handling process, monitor quality assurance performance metrics, and ensure timely and effective corrective actions are implemented to address quality issues and negative trends.
JOB DUTIES
Non-conformity & Complaint Handling
Timely processing of Material Review Board (MRB) cases
Liaison between customer and factory/supplier on quality issues
Coordinate investigations and root cause analysis, and drive product quality improvements
Verification of effectiveness and ensure timely closure of CAPA/SCAR
First Article
Participate in NPI / FA drawing review meetings with factory to align test acceptance criteria and inspection test plans
Support inspection correlation activities between customer and factory
Review FA documentation for completeness and submit the FA package for qualification
Quality systems/Continuous improvement
Coordinate the Sustainability Initiatives with manufacturing sites
Support the implementation and maintenance of QMS according to ISO 9001/14001 requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to lead quality improvement initiatives
Preparation and handling of external audits
Conduct Safety & QEMS awareness and quality tools training
Track, monitor and report QA performance metrics
Perform other quality-related duties as assigned
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
5 years of experience in a Quality function role preferred, ideally within optics manufacturing or precision assembly environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Physics, or related discipline.
Other Requirements:
Sound knowledge and application of Quality tools, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
Experienced in Optical measurement equipment
Excellent written and spoken English. Ability to communicate effectively with counterparts in China and Malaysia is an advantage for coordination across regional sites and supplier/customer discussions.
Willingness and ability to travel to production sites, suppliers, and customers located in China and Malaysia are required
