AGP Profilers is a boutique recruitment agency in Singapore, and we work with our clients and candidates to find A Great Placement. One of our clients, a Cyber Security firm from EU, is looking to hire a skilled and proactive QA Engineer to join their expanding team in Singapore.
Role Overview
As the Singapore representative of a global QA team, you will perform system, integration, and sanity testing. The role is hands-on within Linux/networked environments, focusing more on manual testing and environment setup via light scripting than on building automation frameworks.
Environment Readiness: Install, configure, and set up network environments and test data.
Artifact Validation: Retrieve and validate build artifacts from the platform team for integration.
Test Execution: Conduct functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing across networked services.
Defect Management: Identify bugs, collect logs/evidence, and file clear, reproducible reports while verifying fixes.
Communication: Act as the local QA point of contact, reporting status and readiness to global stakeholders across time zones.
Core Technical Skills: Proven experience with Linux environments and the terminal.
Network Proficiency: Hands-on experience with networking components and services.
Testing Discipline: Meticulous approach to manual execution, evidence gathering, and translating technical specs into test checklists.
Scripting: Ability to write light scripts (e.g., shell) for environment triage and setup.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams.
DevOps Foundations: Familiarity with basic CI/CD concepts, containers, and infrastructure.
Workflow Tools: Experience with Jira for tracking and Git for retrieving build artifacts.
Experience Level: Mid-career professional with a background in the aforementioned technical domains.
